Originally an Augustine convent, this impressive 13th century building is situated in the heart of the city, facing the Ponte Vecchio, and alongside the Uffizi Gallery.
This ancient Florentine residence has an enviable location on the Lungarno Archibusieri, and boasts striking panoramic views across the city. Florence’s sights and sounds are within easy reach and most of this magnificent city’s many attractions are within walking distance.
Inside, the hotel features some beautiful original features. The well-preserved remains of an ancient medieval tower have been carefully combined with lovingly restored rooms, some with spectacular views.
An American breakfast is available every morning in the breakfast room, which was once a ballroom and features 19th century frescoes and a view of the River Arno and Via dei Georgofili.
There is also a superb panoramic bar with terrace and roof garden overlooking the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio.

Travel information
By Car:
From Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci and the motorway (Firenze Nord):
- Head towards Porta al Prato and then follow the signs for LungarnoVespucci.
- Once you are along the Arno River, cross Ponte Alla Carraia and then turn right and cross Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and pass in front of Ponte Vecchio. After a few metres on the left side is the hotel, on the corner with Via dé Georgofili.
From the motorway (from Siena)
- Exit La Certosa:
- Follow the signs for Porta Romana, take Via Romana (that became Via Maggio) until Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and follow as above.
From the motorway (Firenze Sud):
- Follow the signs for Viale Europa and Viale Giannotti.
- Once you have arrived in Piazza Ravenna, take a right to Lungarno Ferrucci , past Piazza Ferrucci.
- Continue to Lungarno Torrigiani and take a right, passing in front of Palazzo Pitti.
- At the end of the street, turn right in Via Maggio until Ponte Santa Trinita.
- Turn right in Lungarno Accaiuoli and follow as above.
