Established in 1910 and completely restored in 2003, the historic Fitzgerald Hotel in San Francisco is a luxurious and intimate victorian boutique hotel located in the heart of San Francisco's theatre district. The hotel is just two blocks from famous Union Square - the 'Heartbeat of San Francisco’ & the third largest shopping area in the United States. The Square dates back to the 1850’s & named before the start of the Civil War as a tribute to the frequent demonstrations in support of the Union Troop. Relax in the Union Square Park and take in the sights of busy shoppers, cable cars and street performers.

Owners David & Angela Cahill offer a variety of interesting, small production, and lesser-known wines from California & around the world. Serving approximately 30 wines by the glass with new selections from different regions of the world each month and specialty microbrews. In addition to the wine & beer selections they offer fine California cheeses, cured meats, olives, fruits, breads and flavored chocolate truffles.

Union Square is surrounded by the best shopping San Francisco has to offer. Macy’s, Tiffany, Saks, Gump’s, Gucci ,Virgin Megastore, The Disney Store and the 9 story San Francisco Center which hosts the Bay Area’s flagship Nordstrom Department Store. This is also San Francisco's main theater district. Ornate historic buildings house ACT, Curran Theater & the Orpheum. Take a stroll on Sutter, Post and Geary Streets and browse through fine art galleries where you’ll find everything from original Rembrandt, Picasso, Dali and Warhol to the Rolling Stone’s Ron Wood. San Francisco's only Frank Lloyd Wright building is also located nearby on Maiden Lane.

Driving directions to the Fitzgerald from the Golden Gate Bridge (Highway 101 Southbound): Proceed across the Golden Gate Bridge (Highway 101 southbound)into San Francisco.Take the Lombard Street exit and proceed on Lombard until Van Ness. Turn right onto Van Ness Avenue. Take Van Ness to Post. Turn left onto Post. The hotel is located at 620 Post on the left hand side between Jones and Taylor.
