All conference centres and smaller conference rooms are fitted with air conditioning, ISDN connections and can accommodate anywhere from 6 to 530 people. The hotel boasts 270 rooms, including a royal suite, 4 junior suites and 12 apartments. Accommodation is split between the refurbished 17th century buildings and more modern constructions. Many rooms feature an innovative split-level design, whilst rooms in the older buildings feature antique beams and oak ceilings. All are equipped with numerous modern facilities, including a direct line telephone, Wi-Fi internet access, double-glazed windows, air conditioning and cable television.

Food & beverage

Restaurant Vermeer boasts a Mediterranean cuisine and the atmosphere of the Golden Age. Here you can lunch or dine at top level. The restaurant has been awarded by Michelin and GaultMillau. Hudson’s Terrace & Restaurant offers an internationally oriented cuisine and an informal atmosphere. On working days, the restaurant opens at 18:30. Bar Mar-Dique is furnished in a contemporary fashion and opens at 17:30. The bar is widely known for its tapas and delicious cocktails.

Area information

Situated in the oldest part of the city, the hotel is within walking distance of numerous attractions. Canal Tours (0.1km) - Numerous operators offer canal tours leaving from the docking areas along 'Prins Hendrikkade'. Anne Frank Museum (1.0km) - The former hiding place, where Anne Frank wrote her diary, is now a well-known museum. The museum tells the history of the eight people in hiding and those who helped them during the war. Anne Frank's diary is among the original objects on display. Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (2.2km) - The richly decorated national museum of the Netherlands, dedicated to arts, crafts and history. Includes paintings by Jacob van Ruysdael, Frans Hals, Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt. Dam Square (0.4km) - Famous square with the Dam monument, Royal Palace and Madame Tussauds.

Travel information

By train: The hotel is located on Prins Hendrikkade, in front of Station Amsterdam Centraal. By air: The ‘Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle’ stops outside the hotel, and travels to and from Amsterdam Schiphol airport (11.9km). The journey is approximately 36 minutes. The cost is EUR 12.00 (one-way) or EUR 19.00 (return). The shuttle leaves the airport every 30 minutes from 06:10 to 18:10, and leaves the hotel every 30 minutes between 06:46 and 20:46. A taxi will cost approximately EUR 25.00 By car: From Utrecht (A2), Amersfoort (A1), Hilversum (A1). - From A1 or A2, move onto the A10 and follow signs for the S-110 or Utrecht Bridge. - Turn right after the bridge (at the traffic lights), onto ‘Amsteldijk’. - Continue for 2km and turn left at the T-junction onto ‘Stadhouderskade’. - After 1km you will see the Heineken brewery on your left. Turn right and go straight on at the roundabout, into ‘Vijzelstraat’. - Follow the street until the ‘Herengracht’, (this is the third canal) and turn left. - Continue until you reach the ‘Gasthuismolensteeg’, where you turn right and cross the Singel canal. - Proceed to ‘Damrak’, which will take you to ‘Prins Hendrikkade’, where the hotel is situated. From Schiphol Airport (A4) - Proceed from the A4 to the A10 and take exit ‘Geuzenveld’ for the S-105. - At the end of this exit turn right into the ‘Jan van Galenstraat’, and continue to the end. - At the T-junction, turn right into ‘Nassaukade’. - Turn left at the first traffic lights into ‘Rozengracht’, and continue until you reach ‘Paleisstraat’. - Proceed to ‘Damrak’, which will take you to ‘Prins Hendrikkade’, where the hotel is situated.
